SIGs are small groups of members who focus on a
particular area of interest. Each group provides a forum for more
in-depth exploration, ideas, techniques, and questions pertaining to that
specific topic. Three attendances for each
SIG are allowed for non-members. This time spent with the group will allow you
to determine if membership in the club will fulfill your needs. For continued
attendance at the SIGs, Club membership is recommended. |

The Website
Design SIG helps people with the understanding of the basics of personal website
construction.
This
knowledge not only helps them design websites but makes them a better user of
websites and the Internet. It is not a course in HTML, or any of the other web
languages.
We show how
to find Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) templates and other shortcuts in preparing
websites, that you will not find in the text books or courses. We show what a
good website looks like, and how to make it user friendly. Howard Montgomery
from Kaw Area Technical School and other professional website designers present
informational sessions and are available to answer questions. The SIG is being
held on the first Monday of the month, 7:00 p.m., currently at the Topeka,
Shawnee County Public Library.
